Handstand Workshop Series
with Faith

Jumpstart your handstand journey in 2026 or take your current practice to the next level by joining Faith at Recess Yoga for a fun and empowering workshop series.
This all-levels workshop series is open to everyone. Learn how to safely set up, enter, and exit the handstand while building strength and confidence to begin incorporating handstands and inversions into your yoga practice or skill training.
In each of the workshops, Faith will provide guided individual attention, answer questions, and offer drills specific to your needs that you can practice at home. Modifications, variations, and progressions will be offered to accommodate all skill levels.
Each week we will focus on a specialized area of the handstand:

Join somatic facilitator and Recess yoga teacher, Daria Drake, for this community movement ritual!
This is the somatic practice your body has been craving – a place to drop into the deepest parts of yourself to express and digest what is ready to move from the inside to the outside.
A place for your emotional body to dance, B R E A T H E and be fully held, without judgment or shame.
Come shake your ass, crawl on the ground and let YOUR BODY SPEAK as we unhook from the constructs and mental gymnastics that keep us stagnant and unexpressed.
This is how we get free – by feeling into our grief, rage, aliveness, awe and wonder… together!
We’ll move, dance and write our body’s story to weave a magical practice that welcomes depth, connection and aliveness back into our experience of being in a body.
You’ll dress in comfy clothes, bring a journal and water. There’s no dance experience necessary and all gender expressions are welcome and encouraged to come!
