Yoga Classes for You

Yin (All Levels - Beginner)

Melt and release. Yin gives you 3-5 minutes in each floor pose to let go of that deep tension. This is so good for joint health, longevity, and stress release. Great for all levels.

Vinyasa Flow (All Levels - Intermediate)

Although each teacher at Recess puts their own spin on their vinyasa flow class, you can count on some breath work, a challenging physical practice, a meet-you-where-you-are approach, and of course a well deserved final relaxation. This class is a little spicy and great if you have some experience with yoga poses.

Slow Flow (All Levels - Intermediate)

Using the breath, we create an even, steady, mild pace through which we flow a creative sequence of poses. We breathe together and move together, getting stronger and more flexible while we develop an increased capacity for stillness within.

Strength and Conditioning (All Levels - Intermediate)

Our 45-minute Strength and Conditioning class is a circuit workout that combines bodyweight exercises, weights, and resistance bands for a full-body burn. You'll build strength, tone muscles, and boost endurance through a variety of movements, all set to a high-energy soundtrack. The class begins with an invigorating yoga-style warm-up and ends with a soothing, meditative cool-down to restore your mind and body. All levels are welcome, with modifications offered throughout to suit your pace and

Mat Pilates (All Levels)

Our 45-minute Mat Pilates class begins with breathwork and gentle stretching to help you drop in and activate your mind-body connection. We’ll then transition into the workout, moving through exercises like The Hundred, Roll-Ups, Single-Leg Circles, Planks, and Bridges. Each exercise targets your body’s powerhouse—the core, lower back, hips, glutes, and pelvic floor—to build strength, enhance mobility, and improve posture. Props such as resistance bands and small balls may be used to deepen the

Hatha Yoga (All Levels)

The word "hatha" comes from the Sanskrit words ha, meaning "sun", and tha, meaning "moon." These words symbolize the balance between opposing forces. You will cultivate strength, flexibility, and inner peace as you unite body, breath, and mind.

Meditation and Flow (All Levels)

Each teacher brings their own style to this 45 minute class that combines meditation and movement. Depending on the teacher, you will either experience a guided or silent meditation followed by movement that will help you carry deep awareness of your deeper self into your daily life. Life gets a little crazy--this will help you stay grounded, strong, and flexible--one and off the mat.

Core and Restore (All Levels)

In this dynamic 1-hour class, you’ll move through a combination of mat and standing exercises, with a focus on strengthening the core and toning the abdominal muscles, lower back, and pelvic floor. Props and weights will be used throughout to add challenge and intensity, helping you get the most out of each movement. The second half of the class focuses on deep restoration, easing into Yin-inspired stretches and restorative poses to release tension and enhance flexibility.

Accessible Ashtanga (Intermediate)

A dynamic, breath-driven practice based on the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga. This intermediate-level class explores traditional sequencing with room for intelligent variations and deeper expressions of poses. Expect to build heat, strength, and focus through progressive vinyasa, standing balances, and seated postures, followed by cooling stretches and a grounding savasana. Some familiarity with yoga is recommended, but you don’t need a full Ashtanga background to join.

Power Yoga (All-Levels)

Rooted in the principles of Baptiste Power Yoga, this class combines mindful movement, intentional breath, and transformative sequencing. Expect a sweaty, high-energy practice designed to build strength, open space in the body, and cultivate presence on and off the mat. We’ll close with an extended savasana to integrate your practice, leaving you grounded, spacious, and fully restored. Whether you're brand new or seasoned, you’ll leave feeling more connected to yourself and your potential.

Sculpt Flow (All Levels)

Come get sweaty and centered! This mindful yoga sculpt class turns up the heat with high-energy flows, strength training, and cardio bursts—all set to bangin’ playlists. You’ll lift, pulse, sweat, and shake, but always with breath and intention. Class winds down with a five-minute savasana to drop you back into stillness and leave you glowing.

Vin to Yin (All Levels)

Start with an energizing, breath-driven vinyasa flow to build heat, strength, and presence—then transition into grounding yin postures designed to open the body deeply and quiet the mind. This class blends movement and stillness, effort and ease, making it ideal for anyone seeking balance between the active and the restorative. All levels welcome.

Yogastha Sadhana (All Levels)

A modern Raja Vinyasa practice rooted in the T. Krishnamacharya lineage, blending influences from Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions. Emphasizes breath‑linked movement, held postures (5‑breath counts), accessible modifications, and nervous‑system regulation. All levels welcome.

Somatic Flow (All Levels)

This exploratory, heart centered practice supports us in attuning to the deeper, more subtle layers of the body. You’ll be guided through embodied movement, breath work (pranayama) and nervous system regulation to cultivate a deeper mind-body connection and to release deep seated tension. Somatic Flow is an expansive, grounding and deeply nourishing practice that is sure to transform your yoga practice! Perfect for anyone looking to unwind, restore inner harmony, and rediscover ease in movement.
